About the role
As club manager, you will lead the office function, organize the daily operations of the association, and together with office staff and volunteers ensure that the operations run professionally from elite to youth. You will drive revenue generation, build strong partner relationships, and develop the association's commercial offerings. The role is broad and requires a confident leader who can handle both strategic priorities and operational execution.
You are the face of the association and create value through relationships with partners, the audience, media, the municipality, and the many engaged volunteers in the association. You will also be responsible for match arrangements in the Handball League as well as planning and delivering the Annliz Cup and other business areas.
The position is based in Skövde and involves a present leadership on-site in the association's daily operations. The role is based on physical presence in the operations. Commuting within Skaraborg and surrounding areas is reasonable, and for candidates residing outside the region, relocation may be relevant.
Your main tasks
- Drive sales, partnerships, and revenue development.
- Develop and execute events, match arrangements, and commercial activities.
- Ensure good service towards partners, members, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in various forums of Swedish Elite Handball.
- Lead the operational management and office function.
- Strengthen the association's brand and communication in social channels.
- Create structure, processes, and continuity in an organization that is being professionalized. Sports-related decisions regarding player and coach recruitment are not included in the role.
- Report to the board and attend board meetings as needed.
Your profile
You are an experienced leader who builds trust, takes initiative, and delivers results. Your background may come from sports, business development, marketing, sales, or a combination of these areas. You are comfortable interacting with both companies and volunteers, and thrive in a role where you can help shape and develop an organization.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Documented leadership experience.
- Experience in sales, partnerships, or business development.
- Good financial understanding and experience with budget and result responsibility.
- Experience in marketing, events, branding, or communication.
- Ability to create structure and drive development in a complex environment.
- Very good Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
- Driver's license (B) and access to a car.
Meritorious:
- Experience from the sports movement, especially team sports or handball.
- Experience in volunteer leadership or association development.
- Post-secondary education in sports management, marketing, sales, economics, or organization/leadership.

Skövde HF is one of Sweden's most established women's handball clubs and is a member-owned elite club founded in 1949, playing in the Women's Handball League since the mid-90s. The association has about 650 members, 550 active players, and a growing youth program.
